We are honored to share that Nemes and Denise Doll-Kiefer are featured in the English-language 60th anniversary publication Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla: 1966–2026. The three-page feature, “Nemes: The Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla who made history,” appears on pages 183–185 and is credited to Denise Doll-Kiefer, Kata Miller, and Antal Bese.

The article celebrates Zöldmáli Eclipse Hungarian Aristocrat—Nemes—founder and namesake of our kennel in Brookville, Ohio. It traces his achievements as a versatile hunting and performance dog, including more than 40 titles and championships and several firsts for the breed in North America.

Among the milestones highlighted are Nemes’s NAVHDA Versatile Champion (VC), AKC Master Hunter (MH), and VGP qualifications. The feature notes that he was the first Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla to earn the Master Hunter title and describes his success in agility, obedience, water work, and trick dog sport alongside his work in the field and show ring.

The story also looks ahead to Nemes’s legacy through his offspring, especially his daughter Flair, who carries forward the drive, intelligence, and affectionate temperament for which he is remembered.

We are grateful to be included in this celebration of the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla and proud to see Nemes’s contributions recognized in a publication marking 60 years of the breed.
